Job Title: SunSystems Systems Accountant
Employment type: Permanent
Location: UK
Salary: 60,000 per annum
Key Responsibilities
Process Improvement & Automation

• Identify and resolve inefficiencies in financial processes through automation and system upgrades.
• Lead system enhancements to streamline workflows and reduce manual input.
• Optimise data flows for improved reporting and compliance.
• Collaborate with Finance Systems & Change and IT teams on tool integration.

First-Line System Support

• Serve as the initial point of contact for system-related queries.
• Troubleshoot and escalate issues as needed.
• Manage user access and maintain Segregation of Duties (SoD) controls.
• Deliver training and guidance on system use and best practices.
• Ensure accuracy and integrity of financial data.

System Optimisation & Change Management

• Continuously assess system performance against business needs and compliance.
• Support system upgrades with minimal disruption.
• Work with stakeholders to assess and implement changes.
• Build and maintain system audit trails and process documentation.

Qualifications

• Part/fully qualified accountant (CIMA, ACCA or equivalent).
• Advanced Excel and Word skills.
