Job Summary

We are seeking a friendly and efficient Cashier to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing excellent customer service, handling transactions accurately, and maintaining a welcoming environment. Responsibilities

Greet customers warmly and assist with their purchases in a professional manner Scan items accurately and process payments using the point-of-sale system Handle cash, card, and mobile payments securely and efficiently Provide information about products and services, upselling where appropriate to enhance sales Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the checkout area Manage returns, exchanges, and refunds according to store policies Answer customer enquiries via phone or in person with excellent phone etiquette Assist with merchandising displays and stock organisation as needed Ensure accurate cash handling and balancing of tills at the end of shifts

Skills

Fluency in English; proficiency in other languages is advantageous (multilingual/bilingual skills) Strong communication skills with the ability to engage positively with customers Basic maths skills for handling transactions and giving correct change Excellent organisational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently Good time management to ensure smooth checkout operations during busy periods Ability to upsell products tactfully to maximise sales opportunities Professional phone etiquette when assisting customers over the phone Knowledge of merchandising principles to maintain attractive displays
