Are you an enthusiastic and passionate, qualified Social Worker looking to join a small, skilled, supportive and dedicated community? We have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Social Worker to join our team, based in Worcestershire covering the West Midlands, as a full time, permanent, Supervising Social Worker.

With continued growth, this is an exciting time to be joining Foundation Fostering, a small, ambitious, independent foster agency with a therapeutic focus and ethos, based in Worcestershire. Rated as 'Good' in our most recent Ofsted inspection.

As a SSW you will strive to ensure that the children and young people in our care are supported to reach their full potential. You will be responsible for recruiting, assessing, supervising, training and supporting a small case load of foster carers.

We are looking for experienced Social Workers who possess drive, are creative and dynamic and have a sound knowledge of fostering. As part of the role you will be required to take part in the out of hours on call service.

Essential criteria -

Qualified and Registered Social Worker

Knowledge and awareness of Fostering Regulations and safeguarding

Experience of working within a fostering environment

Car driver and access to a car

Self motivated and works with a professional and positive demeanour

Ability to organise and prioritise work efficiently and effectively

Ability to produce quality reports

Comprehensive knowledge of relevant child care legislation and safeguarding procedures

Be a strong team player with excellent communication skills, both verbally and written

Some database experience

A desire to contribute to the continued development of the agency

Ability to work flexibly
