Equans is looking for a Supervisor to join our team at
Queen Elizabeth Hospital in
Birmingham. This is a permanent, full-time role, working 37.5 hours per week. On offer is a competitive salary and benefits package.
The role is to assist the AEM in the provision of Hard FM & Lifecycle Services whilst delivering a high-quality and statutory compliant maintenance service. This will involve working with and supervising a multi - disciplinary team in the operation, repair, and maintenance of plant and engineering services within a Mental Health environment.
The Supervisor role is considered to be a working supervisor role, as the successful candidate will be assigned PPM/Corrective and reactive works to complete alongside the team.
WHAT WILL YOU DELIVER?
Manage the day-to-day performance of the team including Planned, Corrective and Reactive maintenance tasks
Managing and directing staff in a safe and efficient manner
Deliver training to staff on relevant subjects as appropriate so experience is gained (e.g., toolbox talks & trade specific subject matter)
Manage leave and sickness within the team effectively, ensuring the rota is covered as necessary
Assist the AEM with annual leave requests and general personnel issues
Directly accountable for day to day matters to the AEM
Participate in a locally agreed On Call Rota to cover out of hours emergency works

WHO ARE YOU?
ONC/HNC in a relevant discipline
Driving Licence
Previous experience in a Supervisory role
Current/previous appointment to the role of Authorised Person in a relevant discipline (Desirable)
IPAF (Desirable)
Previous experience working in a Mental Health environment (Desirable)
This role includes a DBS Standard check therefore ability to pass is essential.
