We are looking to recruit a Shift Supervisor to join our Braintree Manufacturing site. You be a key link to the Site by providing direct support to the Production / Engineering Manager and leading other team members.
Responsibilities:
As a Supervisor you will be responsible for overseeing the operations during your assigned shift. Your main responsibilities will include:
Oversee the production process, ensuring that all products are manufactured to quality standards and customer specifications.
Lead and manage a team of Machine Operators, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure optimal performance and productivity.
Monitor the quality of stock produced, conducting regular inspections and implementing corrective actions as needed.
Coordinate with maintenance personnel to ensure that equipment is properly maintained and in good working condition.
Manage inventory of stock, ensuring an adequate supply is maintained for uninterrupted production.
Ensure compliance with safety regulations and guidelines during the production process, promoting a safe working environment for the team.
Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement measures to enhance efficiency, quality, and productivity.
Maintain accurate records of production activities, including production reports, quality control records, and inventory documentation.
Collaborate with other departments, to ensure smooth operations and timely delivery of products.
Provide training and development opportunities for the Machine Operators to enhance their skills and knowledge.
Skills and Experience:
Previous experience in manufacturing operations, preferably in a leadership or supervisory role.
Strong understanding of panel productions processes, equipment, and materials.
Ability to lead and motivate a team, delegate tasks, and provide constructive feedback.
Strong attention to detail to ensure quality control and adherence to specifications.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively coordinate with team members and other departments.
Strong problem-solving skills to identify and resolve issues that may arise during the panel production and welding process
Knowledge of safety regulations and practices.
