Duties
Oversee daily operations within the kitchen, ensuring adherence to food safety regulations and standards.
Supervise and manage kitchen staff, including cooks and bartenders, fostering a collaborative team environment.
Train new employees on culinary techniques, safety protocols, and operational procedures.
Coordinate with the culinary team to plan menus, ensuring creativity and quality in food preparation.
Monitor inventory levels and assist in ordering supplies as needed to maintain efficient kitchen operations.
Implement and uphold health and safety standards within the kitchen area.
Handle customer feedback and resolve any issues promptly to ensure a positive dining experience.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen, ensuring all equipment is properly maintained.
Requirements
Proven experience in a supervisory role within a culinary or restaurant environment.
Strong knowledge of food safety practices and regulations.
Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team effectively.
Experience in bartending or knowledge of beverage service is advantageous.
Exceptional organisational skills with attention to detail in both food preparation and service delivery.
Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards of quality.
Flexibility to work various shifts including evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by the business needs.
