Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Supervisor to oversee daily operations within our cafe. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong leadership skills and a passion for the hospitality industry, ensuring that all team members are performing their duties effectively while maintaining high standards of food safety and customer service. Duties

Supervise and coordinate daily activities within the kitchen and dining areas. Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain cleanliness in all food preparation areas. Assist in food preparation and cooking, demonstrating culinary skills as needed. Manage inventory levels, including ordering supplies and minimising waste. Train, mentor, and evaluate team members to enhance their skills and performance. Foster a collaborative team environment, promoting effective communication among staff. Handle customer inquiries and complaints professionally, ensuring guest satisfaction. Maintain records of food production, staff schedules, and operational procedures.

Skills

Proven supervising experience in a fast-paced restaurant or hospitality environment. Strong culinary experience with knowledge of food preparation and cooking techniques. Excellent team management abilities, fostering a supportive atmosphere for staff development. Familiarity with food safety standards and regulations. Effective leadership skills to motivate and guide team members towards achieving goals. Experience in food production processes, ensuring quality control at all stages. Background in serving or barista roles is advantageous for enhancing customer service experiences. Strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask effectively under pressure.
