Job Description


The Supervisor will be the Manager\'s understudy and will be required to act up in their absence. Responsible for overseeing the vehicle movement operations to ensure the depot meets mandated KPIs and SLAs. The individual will be a key liaison between the office, compound team and Stellantis plant staff. The Supervisor ensures the Compound Operatives and Load Pad Co-ordinator perform their roles to the required standard and assists with any training. Key to the role is clear and concise communication between the various depot operational components. The ability to motivate and lead staff is essential.

Your Time at Work
- Act as main liaison between the office and compound staff.
- Work prioritization to ensure maximum efficiencies are achieved. Ensure ECOM vehicles are
promptly processed and all movements required are completed correctly.
- Conduct regular Layered Audits, Compound Audits and Safety Observation Tours.
- General vigilance in the compound ensuring that all quality and safety rules / procedures are
followed by visitors, BCA staff and carriers.
- Act a liaison between plant staff and office. Keep informed of any forthcoming plant issues that
may affect the work.
- Follow up on any vehicles on hold.
- Raise any issues affecting team\'s ability to perform task. Feedback on condition of site and
equipment.
- Assist Manager to plan staffing levels and overall resource allocation.
- Support for administration relating to vehicles in and out of the compound and enquiries.
- May be required to stand in for tasks normally carried out by the Manager during their absence
which may include financial and other reporting, ordering of agency staff, audits and liaison with
the senior management and the customer.
- Vehicle movements: ensure vehicles are parked in full compliance with customer requirements.
Inspection of vehicles on handover and prior to movement

No specific educational requirements, though GCSE level or equivalent preferred.
Experience of working in the automotive sector an advantage.
Supervisory experience essential.
Confident working to deadlines in a fast-paced environment, be able to make decisions and work as part of a team.
Self-motivated with strong communication and organizational skills.
Good IT skills with knowledge of MS Office.
A full valid UK Driving license is essential, held for a minimum of 2 years
