Hello! Ginkgo is a warm and welcoming cafe in North Yorkshire, inspired by nature, seasonality, and a love of great food. With a rustic, botanical interior and a strong focus on local produce, we serve thoughtfully crafted dishes influenced by global flavours. Our space celebrates creativity, hosting local ceramics, artwork, and a calm, plant-filled atmosphere. We have a focus on quality and ethos of our food, everything will be made in house - baking all bread and cakes and sourcing all ingredients locally where possible.

The Role:

We're looking for a confident and personable

Front of House Supervisor

to lead our small team with enthusiasm, efficiency, and kindness. You'll help maintain a high standard of customer experience, while supporting daily operations and contributing to the smooth running of service.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead and support FOH team during service Provide a warm, welcoming atmosphere for all guests Ability to open and close the cafe, ensuring daily checklists are completed Liaise closely with the kitchen to ensure smooth service flow Train new staff and lead by example with high service standards Maintain cleanliness and presentation of the front of house areas Handle customer feedback calmly and constructively Weekend Availability

About You:

Previous experience in a supervisory or senior FOH role (essential) Passionate about great hospitality and good food Calm under pressure and proactive during busy periods Excellent communication and team leadership skills Organised, punctual, and confident in problem-solving A love of creativity - food, plants, ceramics, or local crafts is a bonus!
