We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Supervisor to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the hospitality industry, particularly in food preparation and service. This role requires effective leadership skills to manage a team, ensuring high standards of food safety and production while delivering exceptional customer service.
Duties
Oversee daily operations within the kitchen or restaurant environment, ensuring efficient workflow and adherence to health and safety regulations.
Supervise and train staff in food preparation, cooking techniques, and serving practices to maintain quality standards.
Manage inventory levels, placing orders for supplies as needed while minimising waste.
Ensure compliance with food safety regulations, conducting regular inspections of food storage and preparation areas.
Foster a positive team environment through effective communication and conflict resolution.
Assist in menu planning and development, incorporating seasonal ingredients and customer preferences.
Collaborate with management to implement training programmes for new hires, enhancing their culinary skills and hospitality knowledge.
Skills
Proven experience in supervising teams within a restaurant or hospitality setting.
Strong culinary skills with a background in food preparation and cooking.
Knowledge of food safety practices and regulations is essential.
Excellent leadership abilities to inspire and motivate team members.
Experience in managing kitchen operations, including food production and service delivery.
Ability to work under pressure while maintaining high standards of quality and service.
Strong organisational skills with attention to detail in all aspects of kitchen management.
