37 hours a week, Monday to Friday (8am to 6pm core hours).

Due to growth and internal progression, KWL are recruiting for a supervisor with experience from within a Construction and/or Building Maintenance Environment, who can help to deliver the growing ambitions of the business.

We are looking to recruit a dynamic Supervisor to manage and supervise a high-profile, fast paced element of our business.

Responsibilities:

Responsible for planning, programming, organising and carrying out property surveys, preparing schedules, detailed specifications and technical reports to comply with agreed standards and relevant legislation. Responsible for the organisation and deployment of staff and sub-contractors employed by the company, including performance management, conduct, grievance and discipline, induction, training and staff development, controlling and monitoring productivity and performance levels, and quality of work. Responsible for creating orders, issuing to private or in-house contractors, maintaining detailed, accurate written and electronic records of all work. Carry out pre and post inspections ensuring the works are in full compliance with the requirements of client and company specifications and legislation. Responsible via computerised management systems for monitoring all completed orders against local and national performance indicators. Responsible for planning, organising and conducting all contract meetings including liaising with other departments, contractors, partners and agencies to provide a co-ordinated approach and satisfactory quality completion of the required works within the specific timescales and to budget. Responsible for communicating effectively with contractors, partners and operatives on site to ensure satisfactory completion of the required works. This will involve providing technical and practical guidance.

The Ideal Candidate

Experience:

1. Running and supervising FT10 contracts

2. Qualified craft/trade background - Preferred

3. Extensive supervisory experience

4. A proven track record of effectively managing cost and maximising efficiency.

5. The confidence to challenge processes and procedures.

6. A positive attitude and a strong commitment to doing things right

7. Vast knowledge of new build construction sites and renovation contracts.

Knowledge

Vast knowledge of Health and Safety and CDM. A good understanding of all legislative and statutory requirements appertaining to the construction industry. Well-developed commercial awareness. Expert technical knowledge relating to the construction industry. Knowledge of building regulations
