Overview


We are seeking a proactive and experienced Supervisor to oversee the stalls section within Stratford Shopping Centre. This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment and is ready to take ownership of daily stall operations. You will be responsible for supervising vendors, ensuring high standards of customer service, and supporting the smooth running of all stall activities.

Responsibilities



Oversee the daily operations of 8+ retail stalls, ensuring consistent performance and presentation. Act as the main point of contact for stallholders, providing guidance, resolving issues, and supporting day-to-day needs. Ensure all stalls comply with health, safety, and cleanliness regulations set by local authorities and centre management. Conduct regular inspections and audits of stalls to maintain operational and visual standards. Manage stallholder scheduling, shift coverage, and rota updates where required. Assist with onboarding new stallholders, including orientation on centre policies and procedures. Report incidents or maintenance issues to centre management promptly and follow up to ensure resolution. Monitor customer feedback and assist in addressing concerns or complaints to uphold positive customer experiences. Collaborate with centre management on promotions, events, and seasonal campaigns to increase footfall and stall performance.

Requirements



Prior supervisory experience in a retail, market, or food service environment (shopping centre experience is a plus). Strong understanding of food hygiene, safety protocols, and general retail operations. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work with a diverse group of vendors and customers. Proven ability to manage time, delegate tasks, and solve problems efficiently. A hands-on, flexible approach to work, with availability during weekends and peak trading periods. Confidence in dealing with the public and handling operational escalations. Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
Job Type: Part-time

Pay: 10.50-12.50 per hour

Expected hours: 24 per week
