Position Overview:

As the Restaurant Supervisor at Alley Cat's Pizzeria, you will play a key role in the day-to-day operations of the restaurant. We're looking for someone with strong leadership skills and a hands-on approach to oversee the front-of-house team and ensure smooth service throughout the day. Responsibilities:

Open and close the restaurant according to established procedures, including setting up and closing down equipment, ensuring cleanliness and organization, and securing the premises Supervise and train front-of-house staff on proper service standards, including greeting and seating guests, taking orders, and delivering food and beverages Greet and seat guests in a friendly and welcoming manner Give knowledgeable food and beverage recommendations Take orders accurately and efficiently, utilizing our point-of-sale system Deliver food and beverages promptly and accurately to guests' tables Maintain cleanliness and organization in the dining area Collaborate with kitchen staff and other servers to ensure smooth service flow Upsell menu items and promote specials to maximize revenue Handle cash and card transactions accurately and responsibly

Requirements:

Previous experience in a supervisory or leadership role in the restaurant industry Strong knowledge of front-of-house operations, including opening and closing procedures, staff training, and customer service Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire team members Detail-oriented with strong organizational and multitasking abilities Ability to work effectively under pressure and remain calm in high-stress situations Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
