A co-educational independent boarding school in Perth and Kinross, Scotland, for children aged between 12 and 18 years. Catering for just under 400 students and teachers daily. We offer a core feeding of Breakfast, Lunch and Supper with some high end hospitality and summer lets as well. We are an independent co-educational private boarding school with an exciting opportunity in our new coffee shop, serving up high-quality coffee, delicious snacks, and a friendly atmosphere. We are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Coffee Shop Supervisor to lead our team, create a warm and welcoming environment for our pupils and staff, and ensure smooth daily operations. If you're passionate about coffee and customer service, and have leadership skills, we'd love to hear from you!
Key Responsibilities:
Supervise and lead a team of baristas and front-of-house staff.
Ensure excellent customer service and resolve any customer complaints promptly.
Oversee daily operations, including opening and closing procedures.
Train, mentor, and support team members to ensure a high standard of service and product quality.
Maintain a clean, organised, and safe work environment.
Manage stock levels, including ordering and monitoring supplies.
Handle cash, payments, and basic financial reports.
Monitor health and safety procedures in accordance with UK regulations.
Support the management team in achieving sales targets and operational goals.
Requirements:
Previous experience in a coffee shop, cafe, or hospitality environment, with at least 1-2 years in a supervisory role.
A passion for coffee and excellent knowledge of coffee preparation and service.
Strong leadership skills and the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
High attention to detail and a customer-focused mindset.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Flexibility with working hours (including weekends).
Food Safety and Health & Safety knowledge is a plus.
