Role Overview
As a Wellbeing Hub Supervisor, you will play a vital leadership role in ensuring the hub operates smoothly, safely, and in line with our values. You will support the team, lead on shift operations, and ensure our customers receive the highest quality service.
Key Responsibilities
Operational Leadership
Lead the day-to-day operations of the hub during your shift.
Coordinate site schedules including maintenance and cleaning.
Coordinate
weekly rotas shared via bright HR, ensuring they are completed 4 weeks in advance
.
Ensure
staff check availability and update any conflicts 72 hrs in advance
for the rota.
Ensure delivery of all services to the highest standards.
People Leadership
Support and oversee the team, providing guidance, training, and coaching.
Conduct performance reviews and development conversations.
Lead by example in line with our ethos, values, OOBA and 1-3-1 decision-making frameworks.
Ensure
all Hub team members complete site-specific induction and SOP review
.
Ensure
Fire, H&S, and safeguarding training is assigned via BrightSafe
.
Customer Experience
Deliver excellent customer service, handling queries and complaints professionally.
Promote a positive and welcoming environment for all visitors.
Ensure booking systems and customer interactions meet organisational standards, using
EOLA
for bookings, membership information, and reporting.
Provide a
friendly, inclusive customer service aligned with Testlands values
and use the
"Because We Care" tone
for customer service.
Handle complaints by
recording informal complaints in the site logbook
and
escalating unresolved or serious issues to the Hub Lead
.
Health, Safety, and Compliance
Ensure compliance with all health, safety, fire, and safeguarding procedures.
Oversee safe manual handling practices and site security.
Maintain working knowledge of all relevant policies and procedures.
Ensure fire drills and weekly alarm tests are
recorded on BrightSafe
.
Oversee compliance by
logging all incidents/site issues immediately in BrightSafe
.
Ensure
all incidents are logged within 24 hours
.
Oversee compliance tasks like
PAT testing, drills, and inspections
.
Communication & Review
Participate in the
Weekly Team Briefing
(Events, hire needs, and site checks).
Contribute to the
Monthly Hub Lead Review
(Compliance, usage reports, and improvement areas).
Essential Criteria
Proven experience in team leadership or supervisory roles.
Experience in managing operations and taking responsibility for outcomes.
Minimum Level 3 qualification or equivalent.
Commitment to work evenings and weekends as required.
Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
Ability to maintain professionalism and confidentiality.
Desirable Criteria
Experience in community, leisure, or wellbeing settings.
Knowledge of safeguarding practices (training provided if needed).
First Aid qualification (training provided if needed).
Terms and Benefits
Pay:
Starting salary of 12.50 per hour
Hours:
Minimum of 19.5 hours per week, including evenings and weekends, with opportunities for additional hours
Contract:
Permanent, subject to probation
