We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Supervisor to oversee daily operations within our retail environment. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong leadership, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to manage a team effectively. This role involves supervising staff, ensuring excellent customer service, managing inventory, and supporting store management to achieve business goals. The Supervisor plays a crucial role in maintaining a positive shopping experience and operational efficiency across all store functions.
Responsibilities
Lead and motivate team members to deliver exceptional customer service and meet sales targets.
Oversee daily store operations, including opening and closing procedures, shift management, and ensuring compliance with company policies.
Manage inventory control, stock replenishment, and merchandising to optimize product presentation and availability.
Conduct employee orientation, training & development sessions, and performance evaluations to foster professional growth.
Handle employee scheduling, payroll processing, and administrative tasks such as bookkeeping and cash handling.
Assist with recruiting efforts through interviewing potential candidates and onboarding new employees.
Maintain effective communication with staff regarding store policies, sales strategies, and operational updates.
Manage POS systems, pricing strategies, and retail math calculations to ensure accurate transactions and inventory accuracy.
Support marketing initiatives, promotional activities, and merchandising plans to increase store visibility and sales.
Ensure adherence to safety standards, organization of stockrooms, and proper stocking procedures.
Utilize negotiation skills for vendor relations, purchasing decisions, and inventory management.
Skills
Proven leadership and team management experience within retail or similar environments.
Strong communication skills with the ability to train staff effectively and handle customer inquiries professionally.
Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in inventory control, bookkeeping, and scheduling.
Proficiency in managing POS systems, retail math calculations, cash handling, and pricing strategies.
Ability to perform under pressure while maintaining high levels of customer service excellence.
Experience in recruiting, interviewing candidates, employee orientation, training & development.
Multilingual or bilingual abilities are a plus for serving diverse customer bases.
Skills in marketing, merchandising, stock management, budgeting, and store management are highly desirable.
Demonstrated capability in supervising staff across shifts including shift management responsibilities.
