We are currently seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join a premier team of at the , Royal Air Force (RAF) Mildenhall, United Kingdom.

What will be your primary role?



The primary purpose of this position is to perform routine, reoccurring Ground Transportation Element Dispatch and record keeping duties for the organization. Receiving, processing, planning and scheduling vehicles to approved vehicle requests. Duties also include dispatching operators as required.

The successful applicant will be responsible for scheduling and dispatching passenger, cargo and U-drive vehicles within the Ground Transportation Element (GTE), you will also ensure that the GTE

activities comply with legal and regulatory requirements whilst meeting customer needs. This role will involve supervising personnel. You will also act as the Deployed Ground Transportation dispatcher during real world contingencies and exercises based on RAF Mildenhall.

What are the Key Skills required for this role?



Knowledge of policies, practices, and procedures for dispatching or scheduling motor vehicles and maintaining related documents. Knowledge and skill in using a wide variety of office automation software applications (M.S Office suit, outlook etc), hardware (printers, scanners, digital cameras etc) and other devices to support office operations and produce a variety of documents such as letters, reports, spreadsheets and databases. Ability to plan, organize work meet deadlines, work independently, and have a good knowledge or applicable safety standards and guidelines. Demonstrated ability to quickly and accurately process, analyze and concisely relay mission critical emergency information and dispatch appropriate personnel and equipment, using a wide array of communication devices using emergency action checklist and contingency plans related to vehicle operations. Ability to understand road mas and other locator documents, and in determining the shortest and safest route for both the short and long run, considering the height and weight of the vehicle relative to overpass clearance and legal restrictions, load limits of bridges and roads, and weigh points. Ability to interpret Air Force Instruction's (AFI's), Transportation Regulations, Working Time Regulations and Driver Hour Regulations. Ability to provide leadership and maintain good working relations

What are the conditions of employment for this role?



1. You will be required to handle and safeguard sensitive information in accordance with applicable US and UK laws, rules and regulations.

2. You may be required to travel by military and/or civilian aircraft and you may also be required to travel to the US or other country, in the performance of official duties or attend necessary training, this position may also be coded as mission essential.

3. You will be required to complete a 6-month probationary period.

4. Overtime may be required.

5. You may be assigned other duties not included in this position description, but that are appropriate to the grade and skill set of the incumbent.

6. Must be able to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.

7. This work is neither grade or skill code controlling. An appropriate, valid UK category B driving license is required for this role.

8. Hours of work: AS Rostered (2 early, 2 late, 2 off. 0600 to 1400. 1330 to 2200) Start & end times may be modified due to mission needs and in accordance with organization's flexible working policies. On occasion perform motor vehicle operator work, however.

You will require a security clearance and a right to work in the UK.
