Supplier Quality Engineer

to join our team based in Staverton.

The role:

As a Supplier Quality Engineer, you will take ownership of supplier quality and compliance across our operations. You will lead the resolution of supplier non-conformance issues, driving continuous improvement initiatives to strengthen supplier performance. Working closely with suppliers, procurement, production, and quality teams, you will ensure that raw materials and components consistently meet specifications and comply with aerospace regulatory standards.


A key part of your role will involve supporting investigations into supplier non-conformance, participating in supplier corrective action (SCAR) activities, and managing the Non-Conforming Material Review Board to oversee the disposition of non-conforming products. You will also be responsible for monitoring supplier performance, undertaking audits, and maintaining supplier scorecards to track and communicate performance metrics. Root cause analysis and supplier development will form an important part of your day-to-day responsibilities, ensuring that issues are effectively resolved and long-term improvements are achieved.

About you:

We're seeking someone with an engineering background (Level 4/5 qualification or equivalent) and strong experience in supplier quality and compliance. You should bring:


In-depth knowledge of manufacturing processes (machining, casting, special processes, surface finishes). Experience with regulatory standards such as AS9100, AS9102, Part 21G, Part 145 and knowledge of quality tools (PPAP, FMEA, SPC, MSA). Strong analytical, problem-solving, and CAPA skills. Familiarity with inspection, testing, and acceptance methods. Confidence using MS Office and ERP systems. Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
