As a Supplier Risk Management Lead, the primary responsibility is to assess, monitor, and mitigate risks associated with the organization's supplier relationships. The role will be also responsible to implement, enhance and/or maintain risk management related processes and tools to manage and/or support the activities.
The Risk Management Lead will play a crucial role in ensuring the continuity and resilience of the supply chain by identifying potential risks, such as financial instability, geopolitical factors, regulatory compliance issues, and operational vulnerabilities. The role will also co-ordinate all risk related activities, such as deep dives, evaluations, analysis, task forces etc. and support and consult the organisation on mitigating/evaluating risk events.
Duties include:
Risk Assessment:
Conduct thorough assessments of potential and existing suppliers to identify risks and vulnerabilities.
Evaluate financial stability, regulatory compliance, and operational capabilities of suppliers.
Monitoring and Early Warning:
Implement robust monitoring mechanisms to track changes in suppliers' financial health, market conditions, and geopolitical landscapes.
Establish early warning systems to identify emerging risks and proactively address issues.
Collaboration:
Collaborate closely with PQS teams to integrate risk management into the supplier selection process.
Engage with key stakeholders to gather insights and intelligence on supplier-related risks.
Drive task forces and support teams on supplier risk mitigation and ensure supply chain stability action plans.
Contractual Risk Mitigation:
Work with legal teams to incorporate risk mitigation clauses into supplier contracts.
Ensure that contractual agreements align with the organization's risk tolerance and compliance requirements.
Performance Metrics:
Develop and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure and report on supplier risk management effectiveness.
Regularly communicate risk metrics to relevant stakeholders.
Response and Contingency Planning:
Develop and implement contingency plans for high-risk suppliers.
Coordinate with cross-functional teams to respond effectively to supply chain disruptions.
Continuous Improvement:
Stay informed about industry trends, emerging risks, and best practices in supplier risk management.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the supplier risk management program.
Systems and processes
Support the development, and maintenance of cross-functional procedures for Supplier Risk Management in partnership with PQS and business units.
Implement processes to manage risk related activities.
Enhance/improve systems for risk management.
Provide training for risk management processes.
