Job Description


An amazing opportunity for a Supply Chain Analyst to join a global manufacturing business based in Bournemouth with a salary up to \xc2\xa340,000. This is a new Analyst position which has been created due to business growth & recent acquisitions and will play a key part in contributing to business strategy.

The Supply Chain Analyst will be responsible to coordinate, prepare, and update Supplier pricing, contract information, and other key master data. Allowing such data to be analysed and presented on to improve organisational efficiency.

Role responsibilities of the Supply Chain Analyst include:

  • Establish, monitor, and administer and/or improve purchasing master data maintenance and control
  • Manage or coordinate the business processes with suppliers and/or customers to expand and improve electronic integration as well as streamline business processes
  • Perform analysis and drive continuous improvement and/or standardization of key purchasing master data
  • Assist in the implementation of strategic initiatives
  • Compile, analyze, and validate plant information on topics such as raw material costs, project savings, logistics, inventory turns, and supplier spend.
  • Assist or develop improved reporting to support strategic initiatives such as Inventory Reduction, spend analytics, logistic scorecards, and spend aggregation.
Person Specification of the Supply Chain Analyst:
  • Degree qualified is preferable.
  • Certification in APICS, CPIM or CSCP will be beneficial but is not essential.
  • Strong Analytical skills, with attention to detail
  • Demonstrated decision making and problem solving skills.
  • Experience in any or all areas including Project Management, negotiation, general commodity market knowledge, or general Supply Chain knowledge.
  • Experience in Lean, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement is preferred.
  • Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals or technical procedures.
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.

Up to \xc2\xa340k

This role will be well suited to you if you have held a role within supply chain as supply chain analyst, procurement analyst, business analyst or someone with exposure of APICS, CPIM or CSCP
