Job Summary


The Supply Chain Analyst works within the Supply Chain Team, reporting into the Head of Supply Chain and providing invaluable support to the Customer Service Delivery Planners and Master Scheduler. This is an entry level position for an aspiring candidate with an education or background in supply chain, analytics or a related field. The successful candidate will be supported with training and development to aid future career progression through the FSG group.


Key Objectives of the Role



The Key Objective of the role is to support the Supply Chain Team and wider business with data handling, entry and analysis. In the early stages of the role this will include proportions of data entry, however, as the successful candidates skills base grows, it is expected that they will take a leading role in projects to automate repetitive data entry and redesign or remove inefficient process across the internal supply chain and wider business.


The candidate will lead on the production of KPIs for the supply chain team, demonstrating use of new analytics tools to the business, and will be the go-to for ad-hoc data analysis and understanding within the supply chain team. Success and competency in this role will help to drive the businesses continuous improvement focus.


The successful candidate will also lead the customer contract review process across the business, ensuring all appropriate internal teams are able to deliver to the customers specification as orders are placed.


The Applicant



To be successful, the applicant will have a desire to work in a challenging and technical manufacturing environment, supplying critical components for the aerospace industry.


Strong communication skills are essential as the candidate will be required to drive development projects forward across wider business teams. The candidate should also be highly numerate, with an understanding of analytics tools and how businesses can benefit from better presentation of data.


Previous experience of MRP/ERP systems or experience in either supply chain or customer service roles could also be advantageous to the successful candidate, although training will be provided.


Applications from candidates with a graduate level education in supply chain or related area will be looked upon favourable, however, the successful candidates will be able to demonstrate competency and attitude over and above any qualification.


The Supply Chain Analyst will have a strong desire to succeed in the role and demonstrate suitability for advancement into other supply chain or wider group roles after delivering upon this success.
