Job Description

Nisbets Limited are currently recruiting for a Supply Chain and Logistics Development Manager to join our Logistics team based in Avonmouth, Bristol, on a hybrid working pattern.

This is a pivotal role responsible for leading the strategic transformation across our end-to-end supply chain and logistics operations. The successful candidate will focus on leading operational improvement and strategic change projects, increasing agility, enhancing customer experience, and embedding scalable, sustainable logistics practices.

You will work cross-functionally with teams across procurement, operations, technology, and commercial functions to deliver change that supports Nisbets' growth in the UK and internationally. Key Accountabilities

Lead the development and execution of long-term supply chain and logistics strategies to support business growth and customer satisfaction. Drive process improvement and standardisation across warehousing, inventory management, logistics, and returns handling. Deliver key transformation projects, including automation, warehouse optimisation and systems upgrades (e.g., WMS & TMS). Evaluate and adapt the supply chain network to support multi-channel growth and international expansion. Partner with IT and data teams to implement digital tools, analytics, and emerging technologies (e.g., AI, robotics). Collaborate with finance, IT, operations, and compliance teams to validate and implement solutions. Lead and develop the Supply Chain & Logistics Solution Design Manager, fostering a culture of innovation and accountability. Stay informed on industry trends and innovations to inform strategic thinking.

Capabilities, Skills and Experience Required



Essential:



Proven leadership experience in supply chain and logistics development, ideally within retail, distribution, or e-commerce. Clear communication skills with an ability to articulate complex logistic problems in a simple way to stakeholders Demonstrable experience delivering large-scale transformation programmes and operational improvements. Strong understanding of warehouse operations, inventory management, and transportation networks. Proficiency with logistics systems (e.g., WMS, TMS) and data-driven decision-making tools. Excellent project and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence at all levels. Commercial acumen with a strong analytical mindset and problem-solving skills. Experience leading cross-functional teams and driving collaboration. Familiarity with Lean, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies.

Desirable:



Experience in international supply chains and import/export logistics. Knowledge of sustainability best practices in logistics and supply chain. Degree-level education in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business, or a related field.
