Typical Activities



Order goods, components, and materials to support production and operational demand. Raise and process accurate purchase orders and obtain competitive quotes from suppliers. Manage relationships with key suppliers and sub-contractors, ensuring ongoing performance and compliance. Support New Product Introduction (NPI) with material planning and stakeholder coordination. Track and maintain inventory and asset records using Jira and Sage systems. Monitor supply chain obsolescence and proactively identify alternative sources. Ensure compliance with ISO standards, NCSC guidelines, and export control regulations. Maintain the Preferred Supplier List and manage supplier certification and due diligence. Collaborate with accounts to resolve procurement-related queries and ensure accurate cost allocation. Provide administrative support to production, facilities, and logistics as needed.

What We're Looking For



Experience working in a procurement or supply chain role, ideally within a manufacturing or technical environment. Strong skills in managing supplier and sub-contractor performance. Confidence in pricing negotiations and flow-down of terms and conditions. Familiarity with procurement and inventory platforms such as Jira and Sage. Excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks. High attention to detail and a proactive approach to planning. Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a collaborative mindset. Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel. Understanding of ISO standards and supply chain security principles.

Desirable Skills



Knowledge of export controls and international shipping procedures. Experience managing supply chain risk and supplier obsolescence. Exposure to NCSC guidelines and regulatory frameworks. Understanding of non-tangible asset tracking and software licensing.

Qualifications & Eligibility



To be eligible for this position, you must:

Have at least 3 years' experience in a procurement or supply chain position; and Be a British citizen; and Hold or be able to obtain a NSV-DV security clearance.
