About the Role


This role is ideal for someone who is ambitious, and eager to get things done. As the Supply Chain, Logistics, and Operations Lead, you will play a key role in ensuring smooth material flow, optimising supply chain processes, and supporting the operational setup of our growing manufacturing facility. You'll work closely with suppliers, logistics partners, and internal teams to keep things running efficiently, troubleshooting challenges in real time.


This is a hands-on, execution-heavy role that requires initiative, attention to detail, and a willingness to roll up your sleeves to solve problems on the ground.

Responsibilities

Work with suppliers to track and expedite orders, ensuring materials arrive on time for production. Assist in negotiating costs and contracts with suppliers to maintain cost efficiency. Monitor inventory levels and work proactively to avoid shortages or excess stock. Support in sourcing new suppliers where needed, ensuring resilience in the supply chain. Coordinate inbound logistics, ensuring smooth transportation of materials from suppliers to the factory. Organize outbound logistics, ensuring on-time delivery of vehicles to customers. Work with freight forwarders and shipping companies to optimize delivery routes and costs. Track and troubleshoot shipments, ensuring minimal delays and disruptions. Assist in setting up and streamlining operational processes for production efficiency. Work closely with the production team to ensure materials are available when needed. Help implement lean manufacturing principles to improve workflow and reduce waste. Support in warehouse organization, ensuring optimal layout and stock management. Identify bottlenecks and propose solutions to improve supply chain and logistics efficiency. Track key performance metrics (lead times, costs, fulfilment rates) and provide reports to leadership. Support the implementation of inventory management systems and digital tracking tools

Requirements


================

2+ years of experience in supply chain, logistics, or operations, ideally in a manufacturing or automotive environment.
Strong hands-on, problem-solving mindset--comfortable with both desk work and on- the-ground troubleshooting. Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-moving environment. Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail. Solid understanding of inventory management and procurement processes. Willingness to work in a factory/warehouse setting when needed. Proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets and familiarity with ERP or inventory management systems.

Nice to Haves

Experience in automotive, micromobility, or manufacturing environments. Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies. Understanding of freight and logistics regulations in the UK/EU. * Exposure to supplier negotiations and contract management.
