Leads supply chain operations and responsible for managing the procurement of raw materials (e.g., pulp, chemicals, packaging), coordinating logistics, optimizing inventory, and ensuring the timely delivery of finished paper products.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement supply chain strategies tailored to the needs of a paper mill operation.
Manage procurement of raw materials including pulp, chemicals, and other production inputs.
Coordinate inbound and outbound logistics, including transportation, warehousing, and distribution.
Collaborate with production, maintenance, and quality teams to align material availability with production schedules.
Monitor supplier performance and negotiate contracts to ensure reliability and cost-effectiveness.
Maintain optimal inventory levels to support continuous production while minimizing waste and holding costs.
Oversee the use of ERP systems for accurate tracking of materials, inventory, and shipments.
Analyze supply chain data to identify trends, forecast demand, and improve operational efficiency.
Ensure compliance with environmental regulations, health and safety standards, and industry-specific requirements.
Lead and mentor the supply chain team, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Industrial Engineering, or related field (Master's preferred).
Minimum 5 years of supply chain experience in a manufacturing or industrial setting, preferably in the paper or pulp industry.
