L3Harris in Portchester are a market leader in the development, build and integration of systems for a wide range of unmanned marine vehicles with military and commercial applications.

We are looking for a Supply Chain professional with experience in logistics, purchasing, materials and production control. You will be able to manage complex global supply chains with high levels of change and responsiveness. Manage all materials, the internal flow of materials, parts and assemblies between departments and the external flow of materials to and from customers and supplier. A people manager able to drive culture change and support business operation transformation, able to operate hands-on and strategically. Understanding of ISO9001, MRP systems, KPIs and good planning best practices. You will manage new suppliers, supplier development, supply chain, on-time delivery, and supplier quality.

What the role will involve

The responsibilities of your role will include the following:
  • Control of operations planning, production control and materials control.
  • Import and Export Trade compliance
  • Management of all purchasing activities, cost control and cost reduction
Management of incoming goods, stores, stock management, works order kitting and dispatch

The role of Supply Chain Manager requires the following experience and skills:
  • Supply Chain and or Purchasing Qualification or 6 years\xc3\xa2\xc2\x80\xc2\x99 experience in an equivalent role
  • Operating within ISO9001 Quality Management Systems
  • Project-based or bespoke volume production
  • IOSH / NEBOSH qualified
  • Experience of working with MRP systems, BOMs and / or configuration management systems
