Boeing Defence UK Supply Chain team in Bristol.




We are looking for dynamic and ambitious

procurement professionals

to join the Boeing UK Supplier Management & Procurement Team in the Industrial Partnerships and Future Growth team. This role will include Social Governance responsibilities outlined below. The role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to BDUK's important Social Governance priorities.


The successful candidate will require an ability to thrive in a dynamic environment and respond to the evolving demands of new government policies, legislation, enterprise and BDUK initiatives related to social governance requirements.


The successful candidate will be a key interface for the Supplier Management and Procurement function acting as an authorised agent of the company and have the authority to commit company resources through contracts and agreements.


The role will require some travel to other BDUK sites to undertake the work, participate in workshops, attend industry events and other activities with the wider BDUK organization.

Social Governance responsibilities:



Lead the end-to-end delivery of the Social Value programme commitments, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and effective tracking and reporting of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), providing regular reports to BDUK Supply Chain and Programme teams, and UK government as required. Oversee and manage third-party partners responsible for delivering Social Value commitments, ensuring quality, compliance, and timely execution. Support or lead the delivery of BDUK Sustainability initiatives and flowdown of activity into the UK Supply Chain Support as required the BDUK's SME Action plan development, implementation and progress reporting to UK government Maintain and grow relationship with members of industry groups as required (e.g. ADS, WEAF, Make UK Defence, JOSCAR etc.), Boeing business groups, and other Industry Primes Lead or support as required industry engagement and growth, event attendance, and meet the buyer events Liaise with SM&P programme teams to keep track of future opportunities and areas of Social Governance support against business goals Lead the review and impact analysis of new government policies and public procurement notices Support as required training delivery to Small, Medium Enterprises (SMEs) cohorts Support the development of bid and proposal responses subject to business need

Required Basic Qualifications:



Interpersonal skills and customer focus are essential to be successful in the role Leadership and the ability to develop and implement decisions Collaborative working with others from across programmes and functions to find creative solutions and resolve issues Experience in leading projects; including management of schedule and issues, risks and opportunities, performance reporting of the project; presenting business cases to senior management; providing progress information to senior management and creating and implementing corrective action plans as required Experience in presentation delivery to industry partners, suppliers and senior leadership Experience in social value program management or delivery of sustainability initiatives Experience with reporting and analytics Experience working with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) Ability to acquire UK SC security clearance

Preferred Qualifications:



Experience in working with UK Government Social Value frameworks Experience in working with Small, Medium Enterprises (SMEs) Experience in bid and proposal campaign work Experience in new programmes and supporting programme start-up plans 5+ years of experience in the related field CIPS - Level 4 or working towards.

This position requires the ability to obtain a UK security Clearance for which the UK Government requires UK residency

The successful candidate will hold, or have the ability to obtain, Security Clearance (SC).
