Job Description

TE Connectivity's Purchasing Teams are responsible for obtaining materials, components, equipment and services, gather quotations, examine bids, and award contracts. They perform cost analysis and volume planning for commodities, evaluate vendor reliability and develop new supply sources where required. They coordinate purchasing activities with the manufacturing and engineering departments to maintain inventory at planned levels and monitor cost, schedule, and scope of assigned subcontracts to assure best quality at best value.

Champion transformation initiatives and positively drive the change initiatives Drive operational excellence and continuous improvement mind-set Grow and nurture your team by providing inclusion and engagement opportunities, as well as developing them for their future careers PO management, confirmation and follow-up thru its corresponding payment, tracking milestones and problem-solving with suppliers and internal functions, management of purchase order backlog to ensure plant production schedule, push out, pull-in and cancellation requests management, escalation management (for level 1), follow up of late orders, ensure purchase order alignment (e. g. MOQ/PPQ alignment, short ship, late delivery, early shipment, price discrepancies), and accurate supplier contact details. Ensuring accuracy of the Info Record and Source List data in alignment with MRP parameters, incl. MOQ, Price, and LT. Being the first line of communication to the suppliers and establish a regular communication cadence and escalate suppliers that impose significant risk to business (e. g. line downs, high financial impact, general compliance with TE requirements) to the next internal level. Control inventory and make sure we are meeting inventory targets together with meeting our production material needs to satisfy the customer demand. Procurement of raw material, equipment, consumables and services according to purchasing procedures Follow and communicate purchasing procedures to departments; assist departments with purchasing requests when applicable Coordinate material transfer between plants when needed Work with production planning and engineering to align supplier and customer requirements Work closely with the quality department in relation to material specifications and conditions Maintain contact with suppliers to establish relationships and give feedback on performance. Review open order reports and update as necessary. Coordinate with sales on the Kanban forecast. Lead the daily/weekly purchasing team meeting to find out any potential supply challenges and support the team to go through these challenges

Minimum 3 years of experience and knowledge in purchasing and inventory. bachelor's in business administration, Industrial Engineering or equivalent Advanced knowledge in the use of SAP and Microsoft Office Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing with staff at all levels of the organization Ability to evaluate and minimize costs and evaluate purchase quantities Ability to handle confidential and intellectual property information Proven experience in leading teams within Supply chain Comfortable working in a matrix environment * Ability to demonstrate strong customer focus and continues improvement attitude
