Job Summary

We are seeking a passionate Supply Early Years Practitioner to join our childcare team when we require support. The successful candidate will be responsible for following nursery routines, supporting a safe, nurturing and stimulating environment that promotes the development of young children. This position will be on a zero hours contract with the potential to secure a fixed amount of hours based on the nurseries needs and performance. We require supply staff to support us over holidays, sickness, and provide an extra pair of hands to support our team.

We will contact you in advanced, and occasionally in the morning when we require a shift last minute.

Responsibilities

Deliver engaging educational activities tailored to the developmental needs of children aged from birth to five years Foster a safe, inclusive, and welcoming environment that encourages children's curiosity and independence Work with the team to learn nursery routines and ways of working. Support children's social, emotional, and behavioural growth through positive guidance and communication Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and carers to ensure consistent care and effective communication regarding children's progress Follow daily routines including meal times, naps, playtimes, and learning activities Maintaining high standards of hygiene, safety, and organisation within the setting

Skills

Proven experience with children in nursery or early years settings Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written Knowledge of early childhood education principles and childcare regulations Ability to build positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues Valid driving licence is desirable due to our location.
Pay: 12.60 per hour

Expected hours: 1 - 38 per week
