An opportunity for an experienced production supply planning specialist to join a high impact team taking decisions that impact the entire Academic catalogue of Cambridge University Press & Assessment. Through careful planning and proactive attention to detail, you will balance a broad range of projects to drive the success of Cambridge's vision and strategic goals.

About the role





You will be responsible for planning print production for over 1000 new books each year as well as the management of backlist and paperback re-releases. You will be required to:




Find supply solutions to deliver high-quality product on time with reference to budgetary and sustainability targets. Work closely with teams across the Academic department to ensure the best experience for our customers. Manage vendor relationships to ensure performance is maintained. Contribute to the continuing development of the team, growing your knowledge base and driving efficiency.



About you







The successful candidate will have knowledge and experience of print manufacture and a strong background in project planning. As part of a small team working across a broad portfolio, you will need confidence working independently while being open to supporting colleagues.





You will also:


Have demonstrable experience working with SAP to raise purchase orders and configure data. Be confident using large data sets to identify problems and provide solutions. Demonstrate an assured, collaborative communication style and be prepared to bring competing perspectives together to find compromise.
