We are seeking dedicated and adaptable Supply Teachers to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality instruction to students in the absence of their regular teacher. This role requires a strong understanding of curriculum development and classroom management, as well as the ability to engage students effectively across various subjects, including literacy, math, and physical education. The Supply Teacher will foster a positive learning environment and support the academic and social development of all students.
Responsibilities
Implement lesson plans provided by the regular teacher, ensuring continuity in student learning.
Manage classroom behavior effectively, promoting a respectful and productive learning atmosphere.
Adapt teaching methods to meet the diverse needs of students, including those with special education requirements.
Engage in curriculum development and lesson planning to enhance educational delivery.
Assess student progress through standardised testing and provide feedback on performance.
Foster communication with students, parents, and staff to support child welfare and development.
Provide support in early intervention strategies for students needing additional assistance.
Maintain a safe and nurturing environment conducive to learning for all children.
Experience
Proven experience working with children in an educational setting is essential.
Background in early childhood education or preschool experience is preferred.
Familiarity with behavior management techniques and childhood development principles.
Experience in tutoring or providing individualised support to students is advantageous.
Knowledge of Montessori methods or other alternative teaching philosophies is a plus.
Strong communication skills are necessary for effective interaction with students, parents, and colleagues.
