About the Role

R&A Education is seeking experienced Cover Supervisors and Supply Teachers to work across primary, secondary and SEND schools in Canterbury, Kent. This opportunity is ideal for individuals seeking flexible, rewarding work in education, whether you prefer day-to-day supply, short-term cover or longer-term placements.

What You'll Do

As a Cover Supervisor or Supply Teacher, your responsibilities will include:

Delivering pre-planned lessons across a variety of subjects and year groups Maintaining a calm, focused and positive classroom environment Supporting pupils' learning, progress and wellbeing Following school policies, routines and behaviour management systems Ensuring continuity of learning during staff absences Communicating professionally with school teams and upholding safeguarding standards
This role offers complete flexibility, allowing you to choose the days and types of schools you wish to work in.

Who We're Looking For

Candidates should have one or more of the following:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), PGCE, or equivalent UK-recognised qualification Experience as a Cover Supervisor, HLTA, Teaching Assistant or classroom practitioner
Additionally, you will need:

Strong classroom and behaviour management skills Good communication and adaptability A commitment to supporting young people's development A valid Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply) The right to work in the UK
