Job Description

We are seeking a talented and highly motivated DevOps Engineer with expertise in Microsoft Azure to join our dynamic software development team working with leading-edge technologies to build innovative products.

The role of the DevOps Engineer at Solace Global Risk Ltd is to work as part of an agile software development team to meet the needs of the business and our clients.

This role will take ownership of CD/CI pipelines, release management, monitoring and continual improvement of Azure Architecture to ensure a secure environment, following site reliability engineering (SRE) practices to ensure smooth, secure, and reliable delivery of our solutions.

The successful candidate will support all aspects of technical solutions, collaborating with Product Manager(s), commercial stakeholders, and engineers across the stack.

In this role, you will be actively involved in all aspects of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) including design, development, testing, deployment, release, and monitoring of solutions.

Accountabilities and responsibilities:



Design, build, and maintain robust CI/CD pipelines in Azure DevOps, ensuring automated, secure, and traceable deployments across multiple environments. Manage release processes and environments, collaborating closely with QA, product owners, and engineering teams to deliver high-quality releases with minimal downtime. Implement and optimise infrastructure using Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, ensuring consistent, repeatable environment provisioning. Monitor, maintain, and improve system reliability, scalability, and performance across Azure services, applying Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) principles and best practices. Design and manage observability frameworks using tools like Application Insights, Azure Monitor, and Log Analytics, enabling proactive detection, alerting, and resolution of incidents. Collaborate with software engineering teams to ensure smooth integration between application delivery and platform stability, embedding DevOps and SRE principles throughout the SDLC. Enhance deployment automation and configuration management to improve delivery speed, reliability, and rollback capability. Participate in on-call support and incident response, leading root cause analysis and implementing preventative measures to improve uptime and reliability. Champion cloud security and compliance, ensuring that CI/CD pipelines, storage, and deployment processes adhere to organisational and regulatory standards. Continuously improve operational processes, toolchains, and delivery pipelines through innovation, automation, and feedback loops.

Required Competencies:



Proven experience with DevOps, including pipelines, build/release management, and environment orchestration. Strong understanding of Microsoft Azure architecture, including App Services, Azure Functions, Key Vault, Application Insights, and networking fundamentals. Familiarity with Azure Monitor, Application Insights, Log Analytics, and KQL for observability and diagnostics. Familiarity with frontend frameworks such as React (TypeScript preferred) and how frontend deployment integrates into automated delivery pipelines. Hands-on experience with SRE practices, including monitoring, logging, incident management, and post-incident review processes. Knowledge of agile delivery methodologies (Scrum/Kanban) and experience working in cross-functional product teams. Experience with .NET Core, C#, Entity Framework, and RESTful API development and/or Frontend expertise with React (TypeScript preferred) to contribute to development as responsibilities may extend beyond purely DevOps.

Desirable competencies
