We're currently recruiting a

dedicated and compassionate 1:1 Support Mentor

to work closely with a child with additional needs in a welcoming and inclusive school. This full-time, long-term opportunity is ideal for someone with a calm, patient approach and a genuine interest in supporting child development and inclusive education.


Key Responsibilities:



Providing

1:1 support

to a child with additional needs (such as ASD, ADHD, SEMH, or communication/sensory difficulties) Assisting the child with accessing learning, classroom activities, and daily routines Implementing strategies recommended by the SENCO and external professionals Encouraging emotional regulation, resilience, and positive behaviour Supporting transitions during the school day (e.g. breaktime, lunch, classroom changes) Maintaining accurate records of progress and behaviours as needed

Who We're Looking For:



You

don't need previous school experience

Supporting adults or the elderly with learning disabilities, dementia, or additional needs Working in care, residential or supported living environments Experience as a youth worker, carer, or teaching assistant in alternative settings
If you bring

strong communication, patience, empathy, and adaptability

, you already have the foundation to thrive in this rewarding role.

Availability

Monday-Friday, 8:30am-3:30pm

during term time A

clear and up-to-date enhanced DBS
