The post holder will be responsible for the provision of secretarial support to the Head of School/research Director and/or staff within the School, working as an integral member of the business support team within the School, promoting a teamwork ethos, supervising other clerical staff and providing guidance and support where necessary. The post holder will be responsible for initiating, responding to and re-directing (as necessary) internal and external enquiries by phone, mail and email creating a customer-focused and student-centred culture; liaising with senior officers, academic and administration departments, and external bodies, to ensure effective communication. The post holder will be required to prepare and format a wide range of documentation including reports, lecture materials, letters, agendas, minutes etc. arranging for printing and distribution of material as required.
