We're looking for a nurturing and dedicated
Support Assistant
to join our friendly daycare team!
About the Role
:
As a Support Assistant, you will work closely with individual children or small groups to support their development, learning, and emotional well-being. This role involves:
Providing 1:1 support or small group interventions for children with SEND
Implementing tailored support plans in line with EHCPs and nursery strategies
Supporting children's learning through play, structured activities, and routines
Assisting with personal care where necessary
Working closely with the SENCO, room leaders, and families
Monitoring and recording progress and sharing insights with the wider team
About You:
Experience working with young children, ideally in an early years setting
Understanding of SEND and how to support children with additional needs
Patience, empathy, and excellent communication skills
A positive, can-do attitude and a team player
Relevant childcare qualification (Level 2 or above is essential, level 3 is preferred)
Experience with EHCPs or working closely with external professionals is a plus
