REPORTING TO



Principal Solicitor, Governance and Charities.

PURPOSE



To deliver operational aspects across our continuing professional development (

CPD

) conferences and cultural events.

MAIN DUITIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES



a. To assist and support the Principal Solicitor with the administration of our programme of CPD conferences and seminars on legal subjects and cultural events, including:

? Planning annual calendar of events,

? marketing via e-bulletins and social media (including copy),

? registration and invoicing of bookings,

? liaising with speakers,

? conference logistics and coordinate services including design and print of material and travel and accommodation of speakers,

? production of lanyards and name badges,

? booking catering for events,

? production of delegate lists,

? collecting feedback and generating engagement reports, and

? working collaboratively to continually improve CPD offerings.

b. To support and contribute towards the Society's activities generally, as required, including organising, delivering and attending the Society's events, including member admissions, annual dinner and special events.

REQUIREMENTS OF POSTHOLDER



a. Experience of supporting on the production of CPD conferences (or similar) within professional services or membership organisations, including:

? working with a range of stakeholders (across seniorities and organisations),

? successfully supporting events from start to finish, and

? production of event resources.

b. Experience in general administrative tasks.

? Knowledge and confidence in using full Microsoft Suite, including:

? Word,

? Excel,

? PowerPoint,

? Outlook,

? OneDrive, and

? Microsoft Teams.

? Copy writing and editing for marketing purposes.

? Creating and managing event bookings via Eventbrite or via email enquiries.

? Managing booking enquiries and database management, including:

? collecting accessibility and dietary information,

? creating delegate lists, and

? collating feedback post events.

c. Budget management.

d. Proven ability to work both independently and as part of a team, contributing to its good spirit.

e. Interest in developing knowledge of the legal sector and ability to think critically around legal issues.

f. Desirable: Knowledge of the legal sector (Scotland and UK) and ability to think critically around legal issues and legal practice for training needs.
