Job Description

For people recovering from illness, or who are facing a recent diagnosis, being able to stay in their own home can make all the difference. Our Support at Home Volunteers help with shopping, getting to appointments or checking in with a phone call. Spread the power of kindness with us and help make a difficult and distressing time a little bit easier. We would like you to: - Be available to volunteer on a regular basis. - Service operating hours are Monday to Friday 10am to 6pm. We would like you to volunteer for a minimum of 2 hours per week. - Be able to commit to volunteering for a minimum of 12 months. - Experience of working within health and social care would be an advantage. - An understanding of local communities and networks would be an advantage. Due to the nature of this role, applicants must undergo Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS) check. Applicants will be asked to provide ID documents in support of the DBS check. Tasks: Visit people in their home.


Bring people home from hospital and settle them in.
