We offer a diverse range of decisioning software and data services to the online lending industry in both the UK. We primarily supply services to UK clients; however, we have ambitious plans for growth and are looking to expand into new territories overseas.
We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Support Engineer to join our Technical Operations team. The primary focus of the role will be to support, maintain and develop our platforms. Working with clients and development teams, you will troubleshoot issues, identify and fix bugs, analyse requirements and develop new features.

What We're Looking For
The role:
Provide effective second line technical support for applications.
Troubleshoot issues reported by clients, ensuring issues are documented, tracked, addressed and resolved in accordance with agreed SLAs.
Work closely with first line support and development teams on issue resolution and solution delivery.
Effective and regular communication with clients to ensure exemplary customer service is delivered for each ticket raised.
Gather and analyse client requirements for RFCs (requests for change), write detailed specifications and assist in their development.
Code, test, debug and document software according to the functional requirements, ensuring code is efficient, reusable and reliable.
Peer review and test development work, ensuring solutions are robust and meet agreed specifications, suggesting improvements where appropriate.
Assist in the development of new features, solutions and third-party integrations, contributing to sprint backlogs, raising tasks and providing accurate time estimates based on experience.
Assist in the maintenance of release pipelines, and in the packaging and deployment of application updates.
Build environments for new client implementations.
What We're Looking For - Skills & Experience
Required:
Experience working in a second line support role.
Excellent communication skills - ability to present highly complex technical concepts for a non-technical audience.
Competent in C#, SQL, XQuery, XML, Json, Javascript, HTML, IIS, SQL Server, database administration.
Experience working with Visual Studio, ideally with Azure DevOps and Git.
Strong focus on attention to detail, rigorous in testing and completion of a task.
Good organisation and able to work under pressure.
A willingness and drive to learn new skills.
Desirable:
Good grasp of the concepts of OOP and design patterns.
Understanding of Agile processes and methodologies, software lifecycle management, DevOps and source control
An understanding of the concepts and features of APIs.
Knowledge and experience of development and testing tools, such as Postman and XMLSpy
Experience with VB.NET, Angular, JSONata, Blazor, Node.js, jQuery, AJAX, CSS, .NET Core, unit testing.
