Position Overview
We are looking for a full-time, versatile, enthusiastic, and neatly presented Multi Skilled Operative, responsible for supporting the Faslane based Support Pool Team in the day-to-day management of the Ministry of Defence White Fleet.
The role will be primarily focused on fleet management and fleet husbandry, stepping in to support colleagues with business-critical administration and customer service. Beyond this, supporting other Mitie teams based at Faslane and Coulport with the management of fuelling facilities and driving duties as required.
Main Responsibilities
Day to day management of the support pool fleet including vehicle handovers and returns, ongoing vehicle husbandry and maintaining the general fleet condition.
Receive work requests and plan transport taskings in accordance with JSP 800.
React to daily demands and changes replanning work as required to meet the FMSP contractual outputs.
Managing the F/MT 600 database.
Managing monthly vehicle paperwork including authorising journeys as required.
Undertake driving duties to support operational outputs across the contract.
Support the Operating Authority (Fuel Management) in managing the day to day running of refuelling facilities at Faslane and Coulport.
Ensure vehicles are well maintained and action defects in accordance with Driver Standing Orders.
Clean vehicles, ensuring all vehicles utilised by the department and establishment are maintained in a presentable condition.
Maintain a pro-active approach to Health & Safety ensuring that there are no reportable accidents/incidents to yourself or others in the vicinity of your areas of responsibility that are attributable to negligence.
Actively promote a safe working culture and adhere to the Health and Safety procedures, processes, and the law.
Carry out other reasonable tasks as required.

Full Cat B driving licence (Essential)
Additional Information
MOD security clearance and DBS Standard required. To meet national security vetting requirements, you will normally need to have been resident in the UK for at least 3 years to gain a Counter Terrorist Check, 5 years for Security Clearance and 10 years for Developed Vettingprior to the date of application. All Developed Vetted posts are required to be UK Nationals.
Proof of right to work in UK essential.
The Contract operates a 37.5 -hour working week requiring an element of flexible output during the overarching service hours of 0800 and 1645 Mon to Thu and to 1245 on Fri.
Required to wear approved company work wear.
