Our fantastic #TeamStevenson are on the look out for a caring, enthusiastic and understanding individual to join their team as a Support Practitioner. We have a 16 or 39 hour contract available.

You don\'t need experience in care as a Support Worker to start your career with us; we recruit on values and transferrable skills. We will pay you for your training and will even fund your SVQ (SCQF level 6/7) qualification too!

The Role

You\'ll become part of a small friendly, fun team who supports a three individuals to live in their own shared home. The great thing about this job is no two days are ever the same. Your main aim will be supporting with their day to day needs which involves personal care, shopping, finances, cooking, housework and medication.

The individuals we support enjoy a very active lifestyle and enjoy being part of their local community; so we\'re looking or someone who\'ll be enthusiastic and creative in supporting them with their hobbies and interests which include swimming, going to discos and going for walks to name a few.

All we\'ll need you to bring is;

  • Good listening and communication skills
  • A caring attitude and approach
  • Confidence to go in the water as swimming is a regular activity
  • A positive approach to learning
  • Good team working skills along with the confidence to work on your own
  • Cooking skills
  • Confidence in the use of computers.
Shift Patterns

We\'re dedicated to providing around the clock support that is tailored to the needs of each individual, so shift patterns will usually fall into patterns of 1000-1015 hours (includes a sleepover) or 0800-1600 hours. Weekends and public holidays will also form part of your rota on a rotational basis.

The sleepover part of your shift isn\'t calculated in your contracted hours, which means you will receive an additional payment of \xc2\xa387 for every sleepover you work.

Successful candidates will be required to join the Protection of Vulnerable Groups Scheme and be committed to working towards an SVQ in Social Services and Healthcare with the support from our Training Academy. If you\'re successful in joining our team, we will need you to register with the SSSC within 3 months of starting your employment with us.
