Our small and dynamic #TeamSanderson are now recruiting for a caring and creative Support Practitioner to join them on a permanent basis.



The Role





Our team provides 1:1 support to a young lady with learning disabilities, behaviours that can challenge and limited mobility. She loves music, getting out for drives and socialising.



The great thing about this job is that no two days are ever the same. As a Support Practitioner you'll play a crucial part in supporting with all aspects of daily living, including cooking, housework, personal care, finances and medication. By taking a person-centred approach you will get to know the person we know on a personal basis and support with her interests and hobbies.

About You





We recruit on values and transferrable skills, so you don't need experience or qualifications to start your career with us. We have our own Training Academy that'll give you all the skills you'll need, including the opportunity to complete your SVQ.



To be a great Support Pracitioner we will need you have the following qualities;

Great listener with great communication skills. Caring attitude and approach. Positive approach to learning. Able to follow guidelines. Full UK manual driving licence (min. 1 year driving experience on the roads). Confidence in the use of technology.

Shift Patterns



The service runs as a sleepover service you will start your shift at 9am and finish at 9am the next day. The team are very experienced and have worked with the person we support for a number of years so the support while you settle in will be there!

Successful candidates will be required to join the Protection of Vulnerable Groups Scheme and be committed to working towards an SVQ in Social Services and Healthcare with the support from our Training Academy.

If you're successful in joining our team, we will need you to register with the SSSC within 3 months of starting your employment with us. Also, if you are successful we will need you to meet the requirements on the person we supports insurance policy for use of their mobility car.
