Our amazing #TeamCraigie in Perth is on the lookout for respectful and honest individuals with an empathetic nature and great communication to join them as Support Practitioners. We have 16 to 32 hour contracts available)

You don\'t need experience in care as a Support Worker to start your career with us; we recruit on values and transferrable skills. We\'ll pay you for your training and give you all the practical skills you\'ll need. We\'ll even fund your SVQ (SCQF level 6/7) qualification too!

Shift patterns

Our 16 hour post this would involve working one shift per week and the 32 hour post would involve working two shifts per week between the hours of 0830-0830 hours (includes a sleepover). Weekends and public holidays would form part of your rota on a rotational basis for both roles.

The sleepover part of your shift isn\'t included in your contracted hours, so you will also get an additional \xc2\xa387 for each sleepover worked.

The Role

As a member of our team you\'ll be providing 1-2-1 support to a fun loving gentleman with complex support needs within his own home. Your main aim will be supporting his day to day personal needs, including meal planning, cooking, housework, personal care and medication.

We\'ll need you to be fun and outgoing but also enjoy quiet times with the ability to think of fun activities to do on rainy days too. Some of this gentleman\'s hobbies and interests include day trips, gardening, full scale modelling and classic cars.

What we\'ll need you to bring:-

• Good communication skills
• A caring attitude and approach
• A positive approach to learning
• The ability to cook
• Confidence in the use of computers

It would be great if you also have:-

• A full, clean driving licence as this gentleman has his own mobility car and enjoys going out for drives, but this isn\'t a deal breaker for the right candidates.

Successful candidates will be required to join the Protection of Vulnerable Groups Scheme and be committed to working towards an SVQ in Social Services and Healthcare with the support from our Training Academy. If you\'re successful in joining our team, we will need you to register with the SSSC within 3 months of starting your employment with us.
