Bank staff Required:
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Support Worker to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential care and support to individuals in various settings, including care homes, assisted living facilities, and home environments. Your primary focus will be on enhancing the quality of life for our Service Users through personalised care and support tailored to their individual needs.
Our clients range from people exiting prison, elderly requiring home care, service users with learning disabilities, young people ( leaving care). we work with a range of different people navigating different services. having a good understanding of health care, criminal justice system and social care is a must.
Duties
Assist clients with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, meal preparation, and medication management.
Provide companionship and emotional support to clients, fostering a positive and encouraging environment.
Implement behaviour management strategies to support clients with challenging behaviours.
Maintain accurate records of client progress and report any changes in health or behaviour to the appropriate professionals.
Assist with mobility and physical activities, ensuring client safety at all times.
Support clients with dementia care by employing specialised techniques to enhance communication and engagement.
Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and implement personalised care plans.
Ensure a clean and safe living environment for clients by adhering to health and safety regulations.
Requirements
Previous experience in patient care or a similar role is preferred but not essential; training will be provided.
Knowledge of medical terminology is advantageous.
Familiarity with senior care practices, including home care, nursing home protocols, criminal justice, and assisted living standards.
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with clients and their families.
A compassionate nature with a genuine desire to help others improve their quality of life.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Flexibility to work various shifts as required by client needs.
An excellent understanding of safeguarding and risk
The ability to write clear and concise reviews on the progress service user have made, whilst assessing needs
The ability to write and review care and support plans
Reviewing Health and Safety needs
