As a Support Retail Security Officer, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safety and security of our customers, staff, and premises across various retail locations. You will be responsible for providing a visible, reassuring security presence, deterring theft, and monitoring for suspicious activity. Your duties will include conducting regular patrols of the shop floor, monitoring CCTV systems, and responding promptly to incidents or emergencies as they arise. You will be expected to communicate effectively with both staff and members of the public, always maintaining a professional and approachable manner.
The ideal candidate will possess excellent observational skills, the ability to remain calm under pressure, and a strong sense of integrity. Previous experience in a security or customer service environment is desirable, but not essential, as full training will be provided. You must be able to work flexible hours, including weekends and evenings, and have the ability to adapt to different retail environments as required. Good written and verbal communication skills are essential, as you will be required to complete incident reports and liaise with law enforcement when necessary. SIA (Security Industry Authority) licence is preferred but not mandatory at the time of application.
