Job Description

As a Support Retail Security Officer, you will play a vital role in maintaining a safe and secure environment for staff, customers, and visitors within our retail premises. Your primary responsibilities will include conducting regular patrols of the store, monitoring for any suspicious activity, and responding swiftly to incidents such as theft, vandalism, or anti-social behaviour. You will be expected to deter crime through your visible presence, manage access control, and ensure that all security procedures are followed in line with company policies. In addition, you may be required to operate CCTV equipment, write detailed incident reports, and liaise with law enforcement or emergency services when necessary.
The ideal candidate will have excellent observational skills, strong communication abilities, and a professional, customer-focused attitude. Previous experience in a security or retail environment is desirable but not essential, as full training will be provided. Flexibility is important, as shifts may include evenings, weekends, and public holidays to meet the needs of the business. You should be reliable, trustworthy, and able to remain calm under pressure. A valid SIA (Security Industry Authority) licence is required for this role.
