Support Technician | 8548 | Permanent Contract | 37 hours per week | 30,559 - 32,654 per annum | Grade G | Norwich
We are looking for a Support Technician, with experience of the Microsoft Office 365 suite of products, to join the Application Management Team here at Norfolk County Council and help us with the support and development of the use of these products.
Norfolk County Council are the main local authority for Norfolk providing services countywide to Norfolk residents. We take a lead in critical policy areas, and we work in partnership with local businesses, voluntary organisations and other local authorities to provide the people of Norfolk with excellent services.
Our Digital Services Department provides the technology infrastructure, data management and user support that enables Norfolk County Council employees to work as efficiently and effectively as possible, which in turn delivers better outcomes for Norfolk residents and businesses. Working across a broad portfolio of products and systems, the service is responsible for all aspects of design, development, testing, integration, support and security, ensuring that we are still forward thinking and adaptable in the constantly evolving technical world.
This role sits within Microsoft Application support part of the Application Management Team and the successful candidate will be required to:
provide technical support and delivery of Microsoft products used by County Council Depts together with any product enhancements that are introduced,
manage incidents from logging through to resolution including diagnostics, analysis and investigation,
work with customers and other members of the Digital Services team to assist and support the migration of documentation from the existing network file share solution,
contribute to the development comprehensive detailed documentation, ensuring the knowledge base is kept up to date.
To be considered for the role, you will ideally have a track record of experience in an IT role involving the use and understanding of the Microsoft products. Knowledge and experience in the support and delivery of SharePoint is also desirable but not essential for this role as training will be given.
