Main Purposes of Job
To maintain the computer and network systems of the organisation and provide support to customer hosted systems. Troubleshoot and diagnose computer hardware and software issues, set up and assist technical team members and clients with IT-related problems.
Key Tasks
Rhino Analytics provides a hosted platform for customers to manage their projects and reporting. From a support point of view, we are looking for someone to provide the point of contact to our reporting customers. This person will be the dedicated Yellowfin content creator.
Day-to-day Objectives
Monitor the support ticket queue
Basic IT knowledge to allow remote access to customers servers and support the reporting system
Update ticketing system with relevant information on either completion of call or further support required
Provide detailed information to CTO regarding nature of fault if specialist advice is required
Ensure the administrative requirements of the technical department are carried out to the highest standards set by the company
To make manager aware of any impending issues/customer complaints etc.
Be able to identify where development is required by the customer versus support issues
Essential Skills
Relevant commericial experience of working in a helpdesk, 1st line support or similar position
Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively share findings with relevant stakeholders
Ability to work effectively as part of a team and willingness to contribute to decisions, help others and overcome difficulties
Remain calm under challenge, with the ability to explain their position when asked
Desirable Skills
Training for all in house products will be provided, however any technical knowledge would be advantageous
Advanced apprenticeship / qualifications in Computer Science or relevant disciplines would be beneficial
