Salary:

24,570 - 25,070 (12.60 - 12.85 per hour, salary point 13-19*)



Whilst this is a scale for

progression, the starting salary is point 13*

Hours: 37.5 per week

About the Role



The ARBD Hoddam Care Home is based in Castlemilk in the Southside of Glasgow. The service offers support to 8 individuals with a range of needs whom have a diagnosis of Alcohol Related Brain Damage. The support worker role provides a range of direct support to individuals within their communities to engage with addiction support, improve their mental health and wellbeing.

Our ARBD service supports people with complex mental health issues in all aspects of their day-to-day living offering emotional and practical support to encourage them to live fulfilled and meaningful lives. Working with service users to define their own support plans, support workers will coordinate, evaluate and review support in line with guidance from the management team.

The service provides 24/7 support therefore the support worker role requires an element of shift working including early shifts, back shifts and weekly sleepovers (which are paid as an additional rate).

In addition you will be added to an on- call rota.

What we are looking for



We are looking for motivated and committed individuals to join our team of existing support staff. It is important that you have shared values with SAMH to include respect for others and a desire to encourage and promote recovery and a good standard of living for those we support.

The ability to work as part of a team is essential. Although knowledge and experience of working with addiction is desirable it is not essential.
