To work with a team in our Coffee shop to provide training and support for adults with learning disabilities and behaviours that may challenge, which aims to maximise the potential of individuals for the working environment.
This is a part time role. Job share will be considered.
Apprentice Focus
To assist apprentices to be as independent as possible in daily life in line with training plans.
To assist apprentices to obtain identified training objectives.
To attend & contribute to meetings with regards to people we support, as required.
Contribute to the maintenance of physical & emotional well-being & general health needs of apprentices.
Assist apprentices in day to day practical achievement, soup, quiches, baking.
Communication
To promote a positive, settled & stable environment for the apprentices.
To work in accordance with risk assessment & The Bread Maker training plans and notify line manager if there are any issues or difficulties with these.
To liaise with families, medical practitioners, social workers and other professionals as & when appropriate.
To encourage the apprentices to develop & maintain a variety of relationships.
To communicate with apprentices, taking into account their needs & using the most appropriate methods.
Team Work
To assist and accompany apprentices to attend bread maker activities, outings and work placements - these maybe out of hours
To assist in development and maintenance of professional and caring relationships between staff, volunteers & apprentices.
To proactively foster positive relationships with relatives & professional colleagues.
To work cooperatively as part of a team.
To help apprentices achieve ASDAN lifeskills challenges
The Bread Maker
To promote the bread maker's aim and objectives continually through working practice.
To express through working practice the values & principles inherent in human rights legislation.
To understand shared responsibility for personal & professional development and contribute to a shared learning environment.
To undertake training as required.
To undertake any other reasonable duties which are compatible with the status of the post.
Capture apprentice achievements within social media.
Part of the grant funding team.
The job description will be reviewed regularly by the CEO.
